What We Do

SADT links news and evidence to forum discussion, working groups, RFCs, blueprints and projects — a single, visible path from a question to a delivered result. Here's what that actually looks like in practice.

1. See what's happening

Everything starts with a fact worth discussing. Our Research pages track sourced, dated developments across six areas — payments, connectivity, digital government, cybersecurity, e-commerce and talent — and News covers what SADT and its members are doing about them. Neither is meant to be read passively; both exist to start conversations.

2. Talk about it in the forum

Anyone can raise a question or an idea in the forum, organized by topic (Digital Government, Fintech & Payments, AI & Data, and more). This is the lowest-friction way to get involved — no proposal, no commitment, just a real question put to people who might actually know the answer.

3. Turn it into a working group and an RFC

When a discussion has enough substance, it can graduate into a working group — a small team that owns the problem — and a formal RFC (Request for Comments): a written, reviewable plan that says exactly what's being proposed and why. RFCs are how a good idea stops being just an opinion and becomes something SADT can actually evaluate and back.

4. Build blueprints and deliver projects

An approved RFC can become a blueprint — the technical detail an engineer would need to actually build it — and ultimately a tracked project, with milestones and contributors visible to anyone following along. SADT's approval of a project or blueprint doesn't imply government or external institutional endorsement; it means the idea made it through open review.

The three pillars behind all of it

This whole pipeline exists to serve three goals: Capacity Building & Talent (upskilling Syrian youth and keeping talent connected to Syria rather than lost to it), Infrastructure & Integration (aligning local initiatives with regional and international frameworks instead of leaving them siloed), and Diaspora & Investment Bridges (connecting global tech leaders and diaspora professionals with local builders).
